EoORPGiving you boys something to look forward to (Well, if anyone looks here anymore at least)AlaskanDragon, Hallicarnassus and I have started work on an RP map, we have the units and part of the terrain done now, and our friend is getting to work on our triggers and stuff. Just to answer a question, yes it is a science fiction map. Answering another question, EoORP stands for End of Orion Role Play (patent pending xD) We can't really put together a list of features for it as of yet, since it's really early into design. We will have a hyper-space system, noice models. There will be planets and such. Also, mentioning planets, planets in space are now conquerable/colonize-able. As in, when you kill a planet with bombardment it will respawn under your control, when you colonise it with a colony vessel, the same will happen. That's all I can give you at the moment, more to come. Edit: SC2 is apparently due on December, so we may not finish the map. Although, SC2... Huh? Well, with SC2 on the horizon, bothering with WC3 RPing seems a little futile, WE'RE not quitters. Although I do wind up playing Gmod, HL2 mods, freelancer and HomeWorld2 (It's old but it's mods are still awesome) more often than Warcraft 3, I still find WC3 fun to play when I'm around friends. Otherwise it's shit in a toilet. And shit in a toilet always gets flushed, in this case, when Starcraft 2 comes around. And when the shit gets flushed, somebody else is going to use the toilet. And then in 3 years time, SC2 will be shit in a toilet with it's RPing community if one ever does arise.
I'd think everyone can agree with me that the RPing community in all games as one collective entity is a bit stupid, most of the players I come across in RP's from Gmod, Freelancer and WC3 (Being the only 3 games I RP on) metagame, dm for no reason, have terrible spelling, don't know how most things work (OMG, I SAW IT IN A MOVIE, THAT MUST B HAO 1T W3RKS. The one I'm most pissed about are railguns, RAILGUNS ARE NOT LASER WEAPONS. THEY ARE MAGNETIC ACCELERATORS.) and are just plain assholes (Which most of this forum and I are guilty of). But that doesn't mean we are supposed to be assholes back, treat others how you'd like to be treated. If anything it's our own fault, instead of helping these people get better, we flame them and tell them that they suck and are retarded and should just stop RPing, which is something I myself would say I am guilty of doing. Everyone was a complete asshole retard noob once, though sometimes they are a complete pain in the ass, believe me, we should still help these people out. AND THERE is my random rant with no particular relevance to the conversation. |

It's not going to happen until Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 are released, I reckon. And anyways, why would they? WoW would have ruined the lore too badly to make another one, since random heroes have come along and KILLED most of the villains, Blizzard would have to pull something out of their ass to make a new problem for the storyline. Although, if they did that they could just do the horde and alliance beating on each other again. And not to mention all of the shit from WoW that would have to be in WC4. If they wanted to make a WC4, they should just remake Warcraft 1 and 2 in one bigass game with sexier graphics and Havok physics slapped over it. Although I doubt we're going to get a WC4 until people stop playing WoW, which is never going to happen until Universe of Starcraft is announced (I'd be A LOT more addicted to that then I was to WoW, it might be all I'd play, ever) I personally would cum my pants if UoSC gets announced. bitches jumping on my dick like they playing hopscotch bitches jumping on my dick like they playing hopscotch |
